Panorama JKA
Panorama JKA was formerly Bellville JKA. Sensei Jon moved to Cape Town from Johannesburg in 2005 and took over the Bellville dojo from Sensei Mark James, who moved to Johannesburg for his work in 2007. Sensei Jon’s Sensei is Sensei Kieth Geyer but he also trained with Sensei Chris Mance (while at university in Port Elizabeth), Sensei Derrick Geyer and Sensei Johan La Grange (Chief Instructor of SA JKA). (Sensei Jon CV Here) The dojo moved around and finally found its home at Corpus Christi Church in Panorama. The panorama dojo is seen as the Cape JKA headquarter dojo and training is Monday and Wednesday Evenings. (should you join 1 of our dojo you have access to all dojo) There are a number of beginners and a vast amount of black belts training at this dojo. This dojo has produced many Provincial, National and International competitors.

Stellenbosch JKA
In 2018 Sensei Jon together with 1 of his students and good friend started the Stellenbosch dojo at Maties Gymnasium. Sensei Jon’s technical knowledge, (Sensei Jon CV Here) together with Sensei Jacques strengthening and conditioning (4th Dan, Dipl Personal Fitness Training, Dipl. Sports Conditional Training) is a good combination of hard traditional training with physical endurance in building speed and power. The dojo is currently situated at Stellenbosch primary School. (the dojo had to move from the gym during the pandemic). Classes are Monday and Thurday evenings. (should you join 1 of our dojo you have access to all dojo). There are karate-ka of all ages and levels at this dojo and obviously attracts a lot of students. This dojo has produced many Provincial, National and International competitors.

West End Primary (WEPS) JKA
In 2015 Mr Arries (principal of WEPS) had a vision to have a karate dojo at the school. At 1st Sensei Jon (Sensei Jon CV Here) was invited to do Cognitive Development classes through the martial arts with all the grade Rs at the school. Mr Arries was impressed by the outcomes and the learners attitude and concentration in classes improved so the WEPS dojo was born. Mr Arries promised to build a hall where the students could train and he lived up to his promise, Sensei Jon promised to produce provincial and national athletes in a period of 3 years and they did it!! To this day the school continues to produce provincial and national competitors. The school is also 1 of the finalists in the Best Schools in the World competition for overcoming adversity 2022 and was recognized by the premier and the minister of education. Milnerton (Peninsula Schools JKA)
In 1982 Allen Fourie arrived in Cape Town to establish JKA in the Cape Province. As the newly appointed Chief Instructor for this area, he opened his very first dojo in the hall at Milnerton Primary School, followed by many other dojo across the Province. This dojo remains the oldest SAJKA affiliated dojo in the Western Cape. Allen Fourie passed away in 2002 and Regan Tzamtzis took over as the instructor. In 2005 she established a full time dojo in the hall, running classes on Tuesdays and Fridays where she was assisted by Jody Young for a short time. Jon Williams (Sensei Jon CV Here) joined as instructor of the blue to black belts in 2007 Peninsula Schools JKA has seen many students reach their 1st Dan black belt and beyond. Students have continued to excel as leaders in their schools and into society as young adults. We are proud of our traditional karate heritage and even more privileged to pass on the knowledge to present and future students. This dojo has produced many head boys and girls as well as provincial and national competitors. Due to policies and procedures at Milnerton Primary the school hall is no longer available for Karate. The Dojo has relocated to Seamount Primary in Milnerton.
