To all Parents and Karate-ka,
There will be a grading for all karate-ka that have accumulated enough classes on Saturday, 6 June 2026. Karate-ka from Cape JKA , Winelands JKA, and West Coast JKA can attend.
Grading is an opportunity to take the test for the next grade or belt. Students will not be allowed to grade if there are outstanding fees or annual affiliation fee. If it is your first grading, you will need to purchase the Karate Life Book in which your gradings and affiliation stamps are recorded (this is so that your grading is recorded nationally and internationally as regulated by our organisation S.A. J.K.A. KARATE ASSOCIATION). I am an international examiner and so the grade is valid internationally at any JKA dojo.
Gradings are not compulsory and students should only attend if they know their stuff, been practicing and are well-prepared.
Registration Deadline: 3 June 2026 – 12pm

- 08:00 – 09:30 | White & Yellow belts
- 09:30 – 10:30 | Orange belts
- 10:30 – 12:00 | Green & Blue belts
- 12:00 onwards | Purple +
